About this role
SkyWest Charter Service is seeking a professional, dependable and customer-focused Passenger Check-in Officer. The successful applicant will assist passengers throughout the check-in process, manage baggage information, process payments and help ensure that flights are prepared accurately and efficiently.
This position requires excellent customer service, attention to detail and the ability to work calmly in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
• Check in passengers and verify tickets, identification and travel details
• Confirm reservations and update passenger information
• Weigh and accurately record passenger baggage
• Calculate and collect excess-baggage charges
• Issue receipts and accurately record payments
• Prepare passenger, baggage and flight manifests
• Provide passengers with flight times, baggage rules and other relevant information
• Coordinate with the reservations, cargo and flight-operations teams
• Maintain accurate passenger and payment records
• Assist with flight delays, cancellations and passenger concerns
• Follow all company procedures and aviation safety requirements
• Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
• At least 3 CSEC subjects, English Language and Mathematics
• Strong computer, typing and data-entry skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to perform basic calculations and handle cash accurately
• Excellent customer-service and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
• Must be honest, punctual, dependable and well-presented
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work early mornings, weekends and public holidays when required
• Previous experience in customer service, aviation, reservations or a similar position would be an asset
